    Very nice move Doug,
first one is the hardest but your video looks great and the content is very useful.

this might be off-topic, but may i ask if you did notice that blog commenting on blogs that have recent comments on their sidebar will have a bad effect on your ranking since Majesticseo or Google will count the backlinks multiple times ?
So even if you only comment once, you will get about 500 backlink counts because of sidebar recent comments widget ..
Another is that blog commenting only on nofollow commentluv blogs are having a bad effect on your ranking ?

    • Hi John, Thanks. Yep, I have some improvements to make in the videos!

No, I haven’t noticed any issues with blog commenting like that. Have you observed any issues with comment widgets like that?

No, I don’t think that the nofollow links have a negative impact on rankings. Do you have some reason to think that?

ive read that forum signatures are a big no no nowadays, so i deleted my signature in skyscrapper, my website climb once again, but then i was blog commenting on like 3 blogs with Recent comments widget on sidebar, from there my site went down again, and i cant even search its own name on google, and when i search the full title, its not visible too. So yes, i noticed forum signatures and sitewide link or recent comments sidebar are no good.

I just realized that these 3 backlink checker websites – Ahrefs, Majesticseo, Backlinkwatch, have different results, Majesticseo is saying 1 backlink was deleted but its not, its just there are new “recent comments” that my comment is no more part of the sidebar widget list of recent comments, but the actual link is still there on the post… I guess these blog commenting ranking effect is temporary compare to forum signature …

Haha! Loved the outtakes at the end. Took me by surprise.

Nice shift in posting styles. Not sure if it’s just me but the vimeo video for me is awfully slow. It took me over 40 minutes to view the 7 min video. I ended up leaving it to buffer while I did something else and watched after.

    1. I was wondering if when registering the expired domains for the PBN, do you have to use different registrars (namecheap, godaddy, etc), just as you do different hosts? or do you lump all of them into one namecheap/godaddy account?

    2. Also, do you put whois privacy?

    3. You mentioned multiple web2.0 sites per platform. Would you know if the ‘link power’ diminishes as you add. For example, do you still get full power of each tumblr (of any other web2.0) site if you have 2 or 3? or does it have some kind of diminishing returns as the # increases for one platform?

    • Hey Winston – wow. That is a long time for buffering. I am not sure of the issue there.

      1. I have some domains listed with both namecheap and godaddy. There are so many domains registered at those two registrars that I don’t think it will be a red flag.

      2. I usually have the whois info set to private. I know people do think that having a person’s name and address actually improves the rankings. I’m not sure I’ve seen conclusive evidence to support that. It takes extra time to set up those email addresses…so I just keep it as private.

      3. Good question. I think it probably diminishes a little bit…but overall, it is probably nominal. The web 2.0s probably don’t have a tremendous amount of authority, especially if they are brand new. Again, I haven’t seen a conclusive test to check on the diminishing returns aspect. That said, I don’t link out more than once to a single money site from a PBN domain.

    Nice one Doug! great video.

  • This is pretty cool Doug – great for branding. I already feel your authority, really! Nice idea.

    • Hey Dave,
Thanks man. I figure in a year I’ll make the upgrade from the v-neck t shirt to a suit like Mr. Halpern. 😉

Afterwards, I did realize that at 7+ minutes that I should probably make the future videos a little shorter.
