Yes, I use images from Amazon and using the Site Stripe tool. It’s the safest way in my opinion without violating any copyright issues or Amazon Associate Operating Agreement.
Some people complain about having small images and claim it really hurts their conversions. My conversion rate is pretty high, over 10%.

Here are the rules and guidelines described by Amazon. They really emphasize respecting the copyrights of image owners so just keep that in mind as you use images.
They specifically point out that you cannot just Google images and use whatever you find.
I use a lot of images from Flickr Creative Commons and a few other free sources with minimal attribution rules. I like Flickr images because they look amateur and that adds authenticity. I like that better than stock images that look too polished.
