How to Get Your Niche Site Ranked in Google and Get Traffic

You’ve done it…

You have your niche site up and running. You’ve got some traffic, but of course you’d like to increase it more.

But, HOW do you increase it?

If you’re struggling with getting traffic, maybe you’ve been making some critical mistakes in a few key areas that have not been driving traffic to your site.

In this video, I’ll talk about 3 STRATEGIES to help you rank in Google and get traffic.

And some traffic may even come today if you take action.

But first, let’s identify the three key mistakes that you could be making, and turn them into strategies to get traffic and increase your sales in your niche (or authority) site.

What are these mistakes?

  1. One mistake that so many beginners make and HOW YOU can AVOID IT.
  2. One way to start getting traffic today (it’s not guaranteed, but if you have a few hours, it can work)
  3. The thing you just CANNOT avoid and it’s the thing that everyone wants to avoid. 🙂

Watch the video to see how I explain these mistakes in much more detail.

Buyer’s Intent

So, we know that there are three critical steps for increasing traffic from google. First is looking at Buyers Intent.

Ask yourself this: What sort of research are the people searching for on google?

Well, let’s think about this.

Imagine google as a funnel.

First, buyers start in the general sphere of what they are looking for, then funnel down to more specific intentional searches, where they eventually will come across your site and buy from amazon from your link. Voila!

So, we want to research these buyers keywords to get these people who are intentionally seeking to buy the product on amazon from your site.

Blog Commenting

Next, another crucial way to get more traffic is Blog Commenting.

Blog commenting is such a key step because it’s exposure and networking. The more work you put into this the more you’ll get out of it.

Guest Posting

Last is Guest Posting.

I’m sure you’ve heard the term it’s not WHAT you know, but WHO you know.

And this rings true in the sphere of niche sites as well. The more you network, and guest post, the more exposure you will get for your niche site.

Watch the video to learn more tips on how to use these three key elements to create a drastic change in the traffic in your site.

  • A guy I know had a really decent Christmas from his affiliate site and when I looked at his backlink profile it was mostly blog and forum comments. People are too quick to dismiss them – including me!

    • Andrew, thanks for reading & the comment.
And yep, the simple no-follow links can still work if the competition is low and if traffic goes through the link.

  • Hey Doug,
I’m so glad I’m on your email list. I missed out on this video in December so looking forward to seeing what little nuggets I can learn from you in this video.

I’ve used your KGR and have been benefiting from it. I’ve seen 2 of my posts on page 1 within a few hours. Others show up in a few days. Using this method I’ve been able to generate more traffic to my site.

    Thanks for your tips!

Solid information there for beginners. I have tried my luck a lot with forums and blog comments, but not much. I guess I have to recheck the basics as you say in the video.

  • Hey Doug, great to read tactics that have been used, tested & validated by the author before :))

  • Great tips as always, Doug.

  • Hey Doug, Blog commenting these days gives mostly nofollow backlinks, do you suggest focusing much on that , i mean does it really help in ranking or increasing the authority ?

    • It can help, but you’ll often need more than just blog comments. It’s great for networking and meeting bloggers.
