I found a great KW but the volume is over 250, should I still write a post?

Please. I know you may have heard about the Rule of 63 which I don’t think holds up. I know logically you can reason why you could go for a term with 1,600 searches per month, ignoring the 250 search volume limit, if the KGR value is very low.

However, you’d be missing the fact that it seems to take longer to rank keyword phrases that have a higher search volume.

Should you go for a keyword phrase with a search volume over 250?

Sure. Yes.

But remember it’ll probably take longer to rank and may need backlinks. You can do things to help the page rank better, but if you stick to the formula you’ll be better off.

250 is in the formula of KGR for a reason, so stick to the pure formula before you start experimenting!

Hey Doug, great job. I want to develop KGR content. However, I cannot find any KGR keyword in the SEO niche. Is it working better in the obscure types of niches? I have a one-month-old blog with about 40 pages of content, still receiving zero organic traffic from Google. I would love to hear your opinion.

  Hey Altay, I could be wrong but i think KGR works best with amazon affiliate niche sites.
